Please note: Outing duration and distraction tolerance will vary for each dog. Always be prepared to leave. Do not progress until the dog is successful at any given point.

Goal: Teach the dog to positively experience living in a human world at a crucial developmental age.

During Module 1 Outings:

Exposure focus: Expose the pup by having them observe a variety of experiences including different people, sounds, sights, and movements.

Behavior focus: Dogs at this age are learning about their surroundings and how to respond to stimuli. Create a positive relationship with their environment by pairing calm reactions to exposures with rewards. It is important to help the dog understand what is appropriate.
